Dance

In Dance, students develop knowledge, skills and understanding of dance. They will compose and perform their own dances using the elements and contexts of dance from different times and cultures.

Every student at Bonnet Bay School is able to enjoy and shine in dance. Each class performs vibrant dance at school assemblies and concerts each year.

Students are also able to audition to represent our school in one of four dance groups, typically involving over 120 students:

• Junior (Year 1 & 2) Dance Group
• Modern Dance Group
• Contemporary Dance Group
• Boys Funk Group

Dance groups successfully audition annually for the South Western Sydney Dance Festival and have performed at the NSW Schools Spectacular.

Our dance groups are a tribute to outstanding choreography, dazzling costumes and a youthful exuberance that captivates the audience at every performance. They exemplify the Bonnet Bay School community spirit where outstanding teachers, wonderful students and parents work together to provide fantastic opportunities for our children.
