Transferring

Starting a new school can be exciting, but also daunting. At Bonnet Bay both teachers and parents seek to help new children settle in happily.

Many students at Bonnet Bay School began their school life in other parts of NSW and around the world. We pride ourselves on providing a tailored program to welcome and settle transferring students. Our culture is one of friendship and inclusion and new students are accepted into the school with ease.

Each new student is allocated a Buddy who provides the comfort, support and friendship so important for students who transfer to our school.

New parents are greeted by our Welcoming Officer and Class Representatives who assist in establishing life in a new school and community.

Students from Out of Area

We do have a proportion of students from beyond our local area, who have chosen to attend Bonnet Bay School because of its exceptional opportunities and friendly community. We accept students from outside this catchment area when numbers permit. Students with siblings already at the school are given priority.
